Objective To explore the application value of visual paired comparison tasks based on eye-tracking technology in cognitive function assessment, and to provide an effective tool for large-scale early cognitive screening in community populations. Methods A cross-sectional study design was employed using convenience sampling. A total of 325 participants were recruited from the outpatient and inpatient departments of the Neurology Department at a tertiary A hospital in Guiyang City between December 2024 and October 2025. According to cognitive status, they were divided into the dementia group, the mild cognitive impairment group, and the cognitively normal group. After undergoing assessments using the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE) and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA),participants simultaneously completed the visual paired comparison task using eye-tracking technology. The Wilcoxon rank-sum test was used to compare differences in eye movement parameters among the 3 groups. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis was conducted to evaluate the discriminatory performance of the visual paired comparison task based on eye-tracking technology assessment and its combined use with traditional scales for the 3 groups. Results The final study included 110 participants in the cognitively normal group,120 in the mild cognitive impairment group, and 95 in the dementia group. Comparisons of multiple eye-tracking indicators across the 3 groups revealed statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The visual paired comparison task based on eye-tracking technology achieved an accuracy of 81.9%,a sensitivity of 74.2%,and a specificity of 77.3% in distinguishing between cognitively normal individuals and those with mild cognitive impairment. The accuracy increased to 97.1% when combined with traditional scales. When distinguishing between cognitively normal individuals and those with dementia, the accuracy of the standalone assessment was 91.4%,and 98.8% when combined with traditional scales. However, the accuracy for distinguishing between mild cognitive impairment and dementia was lower,at 64.3%,and increased to 71.7% after combined assessment. Conclusion The visual paired comparison task based on eye-tracking technology demonstrates high accuracy in distinguishing between cognitively normal and cognitively impaired individuals. However, for individuals already identified as cognitively impaired, their ability to distinguish between mild cognitive impairment and dementia is limited. It is recommended to combine this approach with traditional neuropsychological scales for a comprehensive assessment to improve the accuracy of clinical diagnosis.

Objective To explore the stage characteristics of cognitive promotion behaviors and preferences for digital interventions among community-dwelling older adults with subjective cognitive decline(SCD),and to provide a reference for implementing precise nursing interventions in clinical practice. Methods Using purposive sampling,semi-structured interviews were conducted with 52 community-dwelling older adults with SCD in Suzhou City from March to May 2025,based on the Health Action Process Approach(HAPA) model. Data were analyzed using deductive thematic analysis. Results A total of 2 main themes and 8 sub-themes were identified. ①Stage Positioning and core characteristics of cognitive promotion actions in older adults with SCD(the pre-intention stage is a dual obstacle of cognitive bias and lack of willingness;the intention stage is a lack of adaptation between cognitive awakening and action threshold;the action stage is a preliminary synergy between cognitive clarity and regular execution;the maintenance stage is a deep integration of value internalization and action resilience). ②Preferences and Concerns Regarding Digital Interventions(preferences for light-weight science education and case guidance in the pre-intention stage, with concerns about technological usability and content authenticity;preferences for minimalist interaction and social incentives in the intention stage, with concerns about insufficient ability;preferences for obstacle response and behavior reinforcement in the action stage, with concerns about technological stability;preferences for advanced interaction and experience sharing in the maintenance stage, with concerns about privacy and security). Conclusion A dynamically adaptive digital intervention pathway should be constructed based on the behavioral stage characteristics of older adults with SCD. Differentiated strategies should be designed to address the core barriers and preference demands at each stage, thereby enhancing the precision and sustainability of cognitive promotion behavior interventions.

Objective To construct a multidimensional physical functions and cognitive function among community-dwelling older adults in Beijing, and identify core and key bridge nodes, providing references for the prevention and intervention of functional impairments. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted using convenience sampling. The 747 older adults from a community in Beijing were enrolled as participants. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Mini-Mental State Examination, and the Short Physical Performance Battery. Network analysis was employed to conduct functional network and analyze the correlation between physical and cognitive functions in community-dwelling older adults. Results A total of 704 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective questionnaire recovery rate of 94.2%. The most common functional impairments among community-dwelling older adults were gait speed and muscle strength. The top 3 nodes ranked by strength centrality were balance(rs=2.060),attention and calculation(rs=2.038) and recall ability(rs=2.017). The top 3 nodes ranked by bridge strength were balance(rbs=1.147) and muscle strength(rbs=1.013),followed by gait speed(rbs=0.881). The network analysis results remained stable after adjusting for covariates. Conclusion The attention, calculation, recall ability, and balance function are the core nodes driving the overall functional network, while balance, muscle strength, and gait speed are the critical bridges connecting the cognitive and physical function. Intervention strategy that implements a dual-task paradigm centered on attention/calculation,recall ability and balance, while concurrently reinforcing interventions targeting balance, muscle strength and gait speed, represents the most cost-effective improvement in overall functionality and synergistic enhancement of physical and cognitive states.

Objective To explore the influencing factors for family caregivers of people with dementia to participate in community peer support activities, and provide references for family support services with dementia in the community. Methods From April to May 2025,the purposive sampling was used to select 11 cases of family caregivers of people with dementia and 12 cases of community workers in Shihezi City for semi-structured interviews. Data was analyzed by the Colaizzi 7-step analysis method based on social ecological model. Results The influencing factors for family caregivers of people with dementia to participate in community peer support activities include personal-level factors such as meeting care needs, understanding and support, caregiver stigma, and limitations in participating in activities. Interpersonal-level factors include mutual assistance among caregivers, influence among caregivers, and the establishment of mutual trust relationships. Organizational-level factors include the lack of participation of professionals and the insufficiency of the depth of support content. Community and policy-level factors include the community’s attention, the community’s experience in providing elderly care services, the available resources in the community, the insufficiency of funds and policy support, and the lack of incentive mechanisms. Conclusion The implementation of the community-based peer support activities for family caregivers of people with dementia is influenced by multiple factors. Community healthcare professionals should adopt personalized support strategies to increase the participation rate of these peer support activities, integrate professional resources, and improve the quality of community care support, with the aim of reducing the stress and burden on caregivers and enhancing the quality of life for both people with dementia and their caregivers.

Objective To explore the application of ultrasound-guided distal radial artery approach compared to the conventional radial artery approach for peripheral arterial catheterization in critically ill patients with invasive arterial blood pressure monitoring, and to provide evidence for selecting the appropriate arterial puncture approach in critical care nursing. Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 156 patients requiring invasive arterial blood pressure monitoring in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of a tertiary hospital in Henan Province from October 2023 to October 2024. Random sampling was performed to assign the patients to an experimental group(n=78) and a control group(n=78). The experimental group received arterial catheterization via the distal radial artery, while the control group received catheterization via the conventional radial artery. The puncture success rate, the incidence of catheter-related complications(including puncture site bleeding, catheter blockage, puncture site ecchymosis, local hematoma, and catheter dislodgement),catheter dwell time, and puncture pain were compared between the 2 groups. Results A total of 145 patients completed the study, with 72 patients in the experimental group and 73 in the control group. No significant difference in the puncture success rate was found between the 2 groups(P>0.05). The incidence of puncture site bleeding was 6.94% in the experimental group, lower than 21.92% in the control group, and the incidence of catheter blockage was 9.72%,lower than 23.29% in the control group;these differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). No significant differences were found in the incidence of subcutaneous hematoma, local blood accumulation, and catheter displacement between the 2 groups(P>0.05). The catheter dwell time was (116.00±25.03) hours in the experimental group, longer than(102.15±22.35) hours in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The experimental group reported lower levels of pain compared to the control group(P<0.001). Conclusion Ultrasound-guided distal radial artery catheterization is safe and feasible in critically ill patients. It shows comparable first-attempt success rates to the conventional radial artery approach, but offers advantages in terms of lower incidence of catheter-related complications, longer catheter dwell time, and reduced puncture pain. It can be considered as an alternative approach for invasive arterial blood pressure monitoring in critically ill patients.

Objective To sort out the current status and compliance of nursing human resource allocation indicators in China, explore the existing problems, causes and countermeasures, and provide a reference for the scientific allocation of nursing human resources. Methods Based on the nursing human resource allocation indicators and their expected targets in the National Nursing Development Plan(2021-2025),relevant data were obtained from the China Statistical Yearbook,China Health Statistics Yearbook 2025,and other sources. Descriptive statistics, the Holt linear trend exponential smoothing model,Lorenz curve, and other methods were used to analyze the status and regional disparities of nursing human resource allocation indicators in China. Results The total number of registered nurses, the number of registered nurses per 1,000 population, and the number of registered nurses in primary medical institutions in China had met the expected targets. However, the physician-nurse ratio, the ratio of hospital-wide nurses to actually open beds, and the ratio of hospital ward nurses to actually open beds had not reached the expected targets. In 2024,the Gini coefficient of registered nurses per 1,000 population across 31 provinces was 0.371,and the Gini coefficient of registered nurses in primary medical institutions per 1,000 population was 0.312. Conclusion The total quantity of nursing human resources in China meets the targets, and nursing human resource allocation is relatively equitable at the provincial level. However, problems remain, such as insufficient scientificity in the prediction of nursing human resource supply and demand, and inadequate nursing human resource supply in the clinical frontlines of medical institutions. It is necessary to strengthen policy support, establish a dynamic measurement system for nursing human resource demand, optimize internal management of medical institutions, promote the transformation of nursing human resource allocation from “quantity compliance” to “demand adaptation”,thereby supporting the high-quality development of the nursing profession.

The search period spanned from database inception to August 2025. The Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal criteria for qualitative research were used to assess the quality of the included studies. A meta-aggregation approach was applied to synthesize the findings. Results A total of 23 studies were included, yielding 115 themes, which were organized into 7 categories and further synthesized into 3 core themes:the fragmentation and reconstruction of body image after spinal cord injury, the dynamic changes and positive reconstruction of intimate relationships in patients with spinal cord injury, and the insufficiency and mismatch of sexual rehabilitation support. Conclusion The intimate relationship experiences of patients with spinal cord injury exhibit dynamic development characteristics. Clinically, attention should be paid to patients’ cognitive restructuring, mutual adaptation between partners, and the development of individualized support systems for sexual rehabilitation,so as to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary and whole-process care.

Objective To conduct a scoping review on assessment tools for ocular complications in critically ill patients, clarify the evaluation content, application scenarios, and psychometric properties of existing tools, and analyze their clinical applicability and methodological quality, thereby providing a reference for subsequent tool development, optimization, and evidence-based clinical practice. Methods Following the scoping review framework,a systematic search was conducted across PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,CINAHL,Scopus,CNKI,Wanfang Database,VIP Database, and Chinese biomedical database. The search period was from the establishment of the databases to December 9,2025. A total of 2 researchers independently analyzed the included literature. Results A total of 10 articles were included, involving 2 longitudinal studies,3 cohort studies,2 cross-sectional studies, and 3 tool development studies. 7 ocular complication assessment tools were extracted, with core assessment dimensions including local ocular conditions, disease and treatment-related factors, and nursing operations, etc.Several tools demonstrated good reliability and validity, with Cronbach’s α coefficients ranging from 0.767 to 0.862,and both Item-level Content Validity Index and Scale-level Content Validity Index exceeding 0.800. At the same time,4 risk prediction models were identified, mostly based on Logistic or Cox regression, and common predictors were eyelid closure insufficiency, consciousness disorders, and length of hospital stay, etc. The models exhibited good discriminative ability, with Area Under the Curve(AUC) ranging from 0.860 to 0.925;the prediction model for exposure keratopathy in neurosurgical critically ill patients demonstrated the optimal performance(AUC 0.925). Conclusion Existing assessment tools for ocular complications in critically ill patients have certain clinical applicability, but most tools face issues such as single research design, small sample sizes, and insufficient validation. Future efforts should focus on further validation and improvement of these tools.

Objective To conduct a scoping review of the application of digital health technologies in the continuity of care for patients after bariatric and metabolic surgery, providing a reference for the practice of post-bariatric continuous care. Methods A systematic search was conducted in PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,CINAHL,Cochrane Library,CNKI,China Biomedical Literature Database,Wanfang Database, and VIP Database for studies on the application of digital health technologies in the continuity of care for post-bariatric and metabolic surgery patients, with the search period spanned from database inception to November 11,2025. The included literature was summarized and analyzed. Results A total of 21 studies were included. The application carriers of digital health technologies include application programs, monitoring devices and systems, and remote nursing services. They are mainly applied to health behavior management, dynamic physiological monitoring and early warning of complications, targeted interventions for psychosocial adaptation, and optimization of continuity of care services. Evaluation indicators include anthropometric indicators, metabolic and laboratory indicators, basic physiological monitoring indicators, behavior and self-management indicators, psychological and quality of life indicators, patient satisfaction, healthcare service efficiency indicators, clinical outcomes and efficacy evaluation indicators, and other indicators. Considerations involve patient assessment and adaptation, technology selection and security assurance, monitoring standards and usage guidance, and data management and follow-up systems. Conclusion Digital health technologies hold substantial promise for continuous care following metabolic surgery for weight loss. It is recommended that future initiatives should be guided by clinical needs, with the development of a hierarchical and standardized digital intervention system, the enhancement of multidimensional objective assessment indicators, and the integration of resources through regional medical collaboration platforms,to advance high-quality and intelligent development in this field.

The global prevalence of childhood obesity and asthma continues to rise. A complex bidirectional relationship exists between these 2 conditions, forming a vicious cycle that complicates disease management and increases health risks. Exercise serves as a cornerstone non-pharmacological strategy in the integrated care of overweight or obesity children with asthma. It simultaneously targets both conditions by improving pulmonary function, modulating inflammatory and immune responses, and optimizing body composition. This article reviews the relevant research on exercise interventions for overweight or obese children with asthma, including the disease characteristics of the children, the content of the exercise intervention programs, evaluation tools and effects, and puts forward relevant suggestions. The aim is to provide references for developing safe, effective, and individualized exercise interventions for this clinical population.
