Nutritional support management of a child with congenital tufting enteropathy

Abstract:

Congenital tufting enteropathy is rare to see in clinic,and it could be life-threatening due to intractable diarrhea in the early stage. The nutrition management was the most important and difficult part of nursing care. This study aimed to summarize the nutritional support experience of a case with congenital tufting enteropathy. In this case,we provide the personalized nutrition support based on nutrition screening and evaluation,and carry out parenteral nutrition support as soon as possible to help the child get fully potential of growth,as well as to get the metabolism balance. Besides,the timely enteral nutrition support was also used to improve the nutritional status of the child. Prevention and timely intervention for common complications were used to achieve clinical benefits. After a 60-day nursing care,the child’s condition was well-controlled with steady increasing in height and weight.

摘要：

先天性簇绒肠病属于罕见疾病,疾病早期患儿常因顽固性腹泻危及生命,营养管理是其护理难点。该文总结l例先天性簇绒肠病患儿营养管理经验。护理要点：开展营养筛查及评估,为制订个性化营养支持方案提供依据;尽早开展肠外营养支持,追赶体重增长,维持水、电解质平衡;及时给予肠内营养支持,改善患儿营养状况;预防并及时干预常见并发症。经过60 d积极治疗与精心护理,患儿病情得到控制,身高、体重稳步增长。
