Abstract:

Objective In order to effectively novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection prevention and control, outpatient clinics should reduce staff aggregation, cut off transmission channels, prevent cross-infection, and ensure medical safety while carrying out normal medical work.Methods We optimized the spatial layout of outpatient service, adjusted and controlled the access routes of patients, reasonably allocated human resources, controlled the total amount of doctors and number sources, and controlled the flow of people. Moreover, we screened the epidemiology and related symptoms of patients by information system platform and established a strict and standardized three-level pre-examination triage system to effectively and accurately screen. We also strengthened the training of relevant knowledge of the protection of medical personnel 

in each post.Results  From January 28 to February 6, 2020, 82 high-risk patients have been screened out in our outpatient department, since the implementation of a series of epidemic prevention and control measures. Among them, 1 case was confirmed to be positive and 1 case was suspected case.Conclusions  In the case of COVID-19 outbreak, we should take the whole hospital multi-department linkage and establish a standardized three-level pre-examination triage system, which can effectively identify suspected cases early, early report, early isolation, and early treatment, so as to ensure the safety of the outpatient medical environment.
